It’s Dapper Dan Hardy and his trusty sidekick, commentator John Gooden. We once again go Inside the Octagon to break down the main event fight at UFC 213. As the reigning women’s bantamweight Champion “The Lioness” Amanda Nunes (14 – 4) faces off against “Bullet” Valentina Shevchenko (14 – 2) in the second of the bouts.
These two originally met back in March 2016 on the UFC 196 card, which saw Conor McGregor taking on Nate Diaz. It was a fight Nunes won by unanimous decision. Giving Shevchenko only her second loss in her professional career. It was a fight in which Nunes dominated for the first two rounds. With Valentina making as strong comeback in the third.
Many pundits believed that Shevchenko looked much stronger toward the end of the fight. And now as they go into a five round Championship fight. Are curious to see how the slow starting Shevchenko looks in the Championship rounds.
Nunes has looked better each time she has stepped inside the octagon. Disposing of the former Champion Ronda Rousey in emphatic fashion back in December 2016. How will these two stack up when they meet for a second time? We find out this weekend for the flagpooe event at International Fight Week that is UFC 213 in Las Vegas.
