Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson Preview: Part Four (Narrated)
The most anticipated fight for pundits, purists, and pimps alike is a few months away as we await with bated breath. I understand this preview is going to be sort of “on me” to be able to cover everything from Tony’s odd yet efficient striking, and Khabib’s grappling and/or striking improvements and defence.
Another sort of unplanned addition to this series that I had a feeling would be like 5 parts in with 3 months left……anywho, I don’t watch the Abel Trujillo fight, I have my reasons, but recently I re-watched after so many in the comment section suggested it, then another 50 yesterday on Twitter. There are some masterful Mat play and guard work in this fight by Khabib.
I won’t talk about the take-downs, shoulder strike or beautiful juke counter right hand really, as I want to keep them all topical…..OH ALSO, he set a record for takedowns in a fight here, in 3 rounds.
I want to avoid covering anything with redundancy, so I didn’t spend a ton of time on submissions I’ve covered. My aim was really to compare and contrast Khabib and Tony’s pure grappling skill separate from each other. Enjoy, and leave any ideas for the series in the comment section, cheers.
