Jorge Masvidal vs.Nate Diaz A Brendan Dorman Film Study
Regardless of how you or I feel about the BMF title, Diaz and/or Masvidal, this fight “moved the needle” and was an emphatic and one-sided affair. In hindsight, the referee made a horrible call to not at least let the fight continue and if the cut worsened, maybe reconsidering. Big John McCarthy explains in great detail how NYC is overly cautious and how he’d have handled it normally on the Josh Thompson podcast.
So I’ll skip drama, pretending McGregor would ever fight Masvidal much less do well, and the wolf tickets of epic and ironic proportions being sold lately in the media and hopefully provide some technical insight into how and why Jorge Gamebred Masvidal is not only the BMF king but one of the realest to ever do it in the fight game.
My job is to explain the how, and hopefully learn you something or two about fist-a-cuffs and martial arts technique. I’m not good at selling nonsense, but I try to stay in touch with reality while keeping you in the same loop. This will be fun if you allow it to be, cheers.
