Joanna Jedrzejczyk – Skill Study / Breakdown / Highlights
Joanna Jędrzejczyk, August 18, 1987 (age 28), Olsztyn, Poland – is a mixed martial artist who competes in the women’s strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She is the current UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion. Sherdog also lists her as the #1 Pound for Pound female fighter in the world. She is also a six-time world champion and four-time European champion in Muay Thai.
With the upcoming “Ultimate Fighter” with future Championship opponent/contender Cláudia Gadelha (re-match) getting so much buzz before it has even aired, I figured it was a good time to cover some of the more prevalent skills of the best female fighter on the planet, who is still undefeated in mixed martial arts competition with a record of 11-0. Joanna “Champion”, or JJ is as exciting to watch compete as any male athlete in the UFC/MMA, and her 27-2 professional Muay Thai record and experience has a lot to do with said stylings.
