Holly Holm Faces Germaine De Randamie Countdown to UFC 208

Go inside the lives and training camps of six of the stars of UFC 208. Former UFC champion Holly Holm & Dutch kickboxer Germaine de Randamie train for the historic main event. That will crown one athlete as the UFC’s first-ever women’s featherweight champion.

Holly Hom is a multiple-time world champion boxer, who in her early career said she would be done competing in her late twenties. When at thirty years of age, having done everything there is to do in boxing. Holly decided to take up the sport of mixed martial arts. And become the first fighter to hold world titles in both sports. And just three fights into her UFC career, she did exactly that.

Coming up against the UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Holm knocked out the undisputed champ early in the second round via vicious head kick. The win brought her a whole new level of fame, but those closest to her said she never changed. And while she would lose the bantamweight belt, a new opportunity would soon arise in the form of an inaugural UFC featherweight title.
