Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 1 Full Fight

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz UFC 196

In a fight that changed the course of his career in the first of their bouts. Nate Diaz emerged victorious in the first epic battle against Conor McGregor at UFC 196. Diaz and McGregor will once again square off in a rematch at UFC 202 on August 20 live from Las Vegas on Pay-Per-View. For their rematch that was originally scheduled to headline UFC 200.

And the subsequent fallout from the Irishman’s removal from the card. The rematch has now if anything has grown into an even bigger fight and may very well outstrip 200 in PPV. In yet another record-setting night, Diaz went on to break some Irish hearts along the way in his defeat of the Irishman.

With UFC 202 just around the corner, it is only fitting that we take some time to look back at the night where Nathan Diaz shocked the world. Defeating McGregor, and setting them up to once again face off inside the UFC octagon. How will he fare next time around when these two warriors once again face-off inside the UFC octagon.

In a fight that saw McGregor pushing the action early on and landing some heavy punches. A bloodied and beaten Nate Diaz walked by to his corner at the end of the first round. While in the opposite corner,  while not yet struggling for air McGregor did look like someone who had used a vast amount of energy.

Nate Diaz Ends The Conor McGregor Fight

Heading into the second round, Conor continued to pour on the heavy blows which looked to be taking their toll. However, as the second round progressed, McGregor began to visibly struggle. It appeared as though he had used his gas tank and left himself vulnerable to a typical Diaz counterattack. Just when Nate caught Conor with a stiff punch which wobbled the Irishman.

And as he staggered backwards, Nate continued to pour on the pressure. Until Conor felt the need to shoot in and go for an exhausted takedown. But seeing the danger, Nate sprawled and subsequently mounted McGregor. Landing hard punches from the top McGregor gave up his back as Diaz sank in a rear-naked choke to end the fight.

Diaz will no doubt have learned a lot from the first fight, as will Conor McGregor. How will their approaches change if any this time around? UFC 196 very much changed the careers of both men, sending one o nan upward trajectory and the other in the opposite direction. Will things be different from the second time of asking? We find out when these two soon face off again.
