Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum COUNTDOWN TO UFC 188:

Cain Velasquez Against Fabricio Werdum UFC 188 Countdown Show

The last time we saw Cain Velasquez inside the octagon was back in October 2013. Such a long time for a reigning champion to be out of the title picture. In the meantime, an Interim belt was taken by Fabricio Werdum in the very same arena the two champions will now meet in this weekend at UFC 188.

With Werdum’s dispatching of Mark Hunt to secure the interim title. The Kings MMA protege now looks to unify the titles when the pair meet in Mexico city. And Fabricio is eager to show the world that he is the heavyweight champion. And not Cain who has been sitting on the sidelines now for such a long time.

But now that Velasquez is back in action and once again training full time. Both he and his team feel very confident that they will be able o get the job done in Mexico. With a new regime in terms of explosive and strength training. Combined with his ever-improving technique. Team AKA feel that it will be their man retaining his belt at UFC 188.

Fabricio Werdum Is always Improving

But Fabricio is a fighter who has been improving in leaps and bounds. And now he too feels that come fight night, he will be in the best possible condition to face the reigning heavyweight champion.

With hand-picked training partners, the interim champion is preparing as best he can. And to leave no doubt come fight night. Stronger, faster and with new tools, his training partners believe that he will have his hands raised. And that Cain Velasquez will be leaving Mexico the loser

Can Cain rekindle the fire that made him one of the most destructive heavyweights the sport has seen? Will he be able to deal with the ever-improving Werdum, who has his eyes set on his championship?

It’s a classic heavyweight clash between two of the very best to ever compete. Who will walk away the reigning champion has yet to be decided. But it’s obvious that neither is leaving any stone unturned as they stake their claim to the number one position.

We go inside the training camps for both men as they look to cement their position is the true UFC heavyweight champion. With such a long lay off will Cain still be the same fighter. Or can Werdum prove to the World that he is the real deal? It all goes down this weekend at UFC 188 Mexico city.
