Joe Lauzon’s First Amateur Fight. You’ve Come Along Way Baby

Joe Lauzon’s First Time fighting as an Amateur

Just Google the term “stalwart” and I’m sure somewhere within the bowels of the net a picture of Joe Lauzon will pop up. Fighting in mma since 2002, there aren’t many fighters who spring to mind in terms of consistency and being a fan favourite more than J-Lau. Joe joined the pro ranks in 2004, competing for multiple promotions. Before finally being signed by the UFC in 2006. 11 years on and Lauzon is still fighting at the very top of the sport. And more shockingly in the same promotion which is synonymous for kicking fighters to the kerb should they not perform! Tied with Stockton’s own Nate Diaz for most overall UFC bonuses, Joe Lauzon shows no signs of slowing down. Tonight he fights a tough and gritty Stevie Ray at UFC Fight Night Nashville who’s looking to build his own name. Come what may, he will always have a place as one of the sports nicest yet deadliest competitors.
