Demetrious Johnson IS Not Ducking TJ Dillashaw and the Title

Demetrious Johnson Not Ducking Anyone

The UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson talks about his potential fight against bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. Mightmouse breaks down the current situation between him and the UFC. And why there have been rumours of him originally turning down the fight.

Johnson is quick to point out that he has not, in fact, turned down anything. But is simply holding out for the correct reimbursement for fighting Dillashaw? Adding that if fighters like CM Punk can get 300k for their first fight. Why is he not, as the champion, receiving the same treatment?

Ready to face TJ Dillashaw

Demetrious says that he is ready and willing to face fellow champion TJ. To discover who is the best between the two at flyweight.

Johnson has looked unbeatable in the last number of years. Going 13 straight fights without losing, while defeating every number one challenger along the way. But with a division that now looks devoid of genuine threats.  A super-fight against Dillashaw looks like the perfect way for the most dominant champion in UFC history to once again truly test himself.

With no word on a date or even if the fight will ever actually become a reality. Fans will just have to wait and see if Johnson’s negotiation pays off in the end. And the world gets to see yet another fighter attempt to hold two belts simultaneously.

Let’s hope that a Demetrious Johnson vs TJ Dillashaw flyweight title fight becomes a reality in 2018. Yet another outstanding bout to look forward to on our fight calendar.
